The 16” diameter primary columns of the structures feature CAST CONNEX Universal Pin Connectors™ + Architectural Tapers™ (ART+UPC) at the bases and CAST CONNEX^® Architectural Tapers™ (ART) at the tops. By reducing the diameter of the top of the columns, the ARTs improve the aesthetic at the connection where the six branches meet the trunk of the tree. The connections on the 8” diameter branches of each of the tree structures include CAST CONNEX Universal Pin Connectors™ (UPCs) on both ends.

During the tender process, Able Steel identified Cast Connex connectors as the preferred solution to bring this incredible architecturally exposed steel structure from dream to reality.
