CAST CONNEX is proud to be a part of the 2024 AASHTO/NSBA Steel Bridge Collaboration Meetings

CAST CONNEX's Jennifer Pazdon and Carlos de Oliveira will participate in the AASHTO/NSBA Collaboration meetings from October 22nd-24th in New Orleans.

As Vice President and UK Director at CAST CONNEX, Jennifer Pazdon leverages over 14 years of experience in design and construction to support engineers, architects, and contractors in using cast steel connections to optimize performance, economy, aesthetics, and constructability.

Carlos de Oliveira is the founding Chief Executive Officer of Cast Connex Corporation, is the company’s Principal Structural Engineer, and is recognized as a foremost expert in the design and use of steel castings in building construction. Carlos received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo and his Master of Applied Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Toronto.

The mission of Task Group 17 - Steel Castings is to develop and disseminate resources specific to the US steel bridge community to support the increased and effective use of castings in steel bridges. The targeted community includes design engineers, DOT professionals, steel fabricators, steel erectors, inspectors, general contractors, and detailers. TG17 is currently developing a Guide Specification document, S17.1.
