The costs of castings is comprised of those costs associated with:

1. Specialized engineering, design, and detailing of the steel castings
2. Tooling (“patterns” for use in the production of molds)
3. And the castings themselves, the cost of which is a function of the size and weight of the part, the non-destructive examination requirements, machining requirements, and surface finish requirements
